1) Why should I sign in?
All Old Georgians are urged to register/sign at the OGA website for the
following reasons:
a) To help the OGA maintain an updated database of all Old Georgians b)
To simplify communication with registered members
c) To make it easy for your friends and batchmates to contact you.
d) To help the OG Association keep you informed of OGA activities.
2) After I sign in
why dont my details show up in the registered members list immediately?
After you submit your form, it is received by the web master , who, checks the
contents and then uploads the details on to the net database. This procedure is
followed to avoid spam by vandals. Your submitted details should be viewable
within 24 working hrs of your submission.
3) Should I sign in every time I visit the site?
No, you neednt sign in every time you visit the site. You only need to sign in
when you want to change any details about yourself like your phone number or
address etc and to post a message on our bulletin board. All the other features
on the site can be viewed without logging in.
4) How do I update my profile?
Log-in through the registered members sign-in area, and your
personal database file will open. Open the "edit profile" page which you wish to
edit. After making the necessary corrections, press the update button. Your
database is updated instantly. (this function will bypass the web master)
5) What is the function of the Bulletin Board?
The bulletin board function is a very useful tool to let fellow old
Georgians know of any services and help you can offer. For example an Old
Georgian can post a message offering accommodation at his residence for
Georgians who plan to visit or pass through his area. Doctors, lawyers, bankers
and businessmen can offer their consulting services etc.. Please use the
bulletin board to post details of any services you wish to offer old Georgians.
6) How to view the total registered members list?
Click of the link " View registered members list" you see a page with the year
against which the number of members registered are displayed. e.g. 1976-(4). If
you wish to view the registered members in that particular year, click on the
year.
7) How do I send a message to the web master?
Click on the "Contact us" link on the top right corner of your screen. The mail
will be sent out directly to the web master.
8) How do I use the "Search" Link?
To search for an Old Georgian registered with the website you could search by
his/her name, Batch, City, or Country. You neednt know the whole name of the OG
- it is possible to search by partial names.
9) What is the guest book for?
How do I view guest the Guest book? For visitors and guests to comment on
the contents of the site use the Guest book. Similarly you can view Guest book
entries by clicking on the "View guest book" link.
10) What is the notice board for?
You can view notices, messages, invitations posted by the OG Association
from time to time. It is advisable that you check it out regularly for
interesting happenings among our members or at School.
11) How do I know about individual OGA re-unions?
Visit our link " View re-union schedule" and you will have particulars of
any individual OGA re-union date, time, place, host etc. If you wish to host a
personal OGA re-union don't forget to inform the web master to put the
information on our web site. please give the information to the webmaster at
least two weeks in advance of the event. This will give him enough time to host
the schedule on our web site.
12) How will I know when the next OGA Re-union will
be at School?
All registered members with valid email addresses registered with us will be
sent email invitations well in advance to enable you make travel & stay
arrangements in the hills.
